Kali Protectives founder, Brad Waldron, has quite the background, having worked in aerospace engineering and been the engineering director at Specialized before starting Kali. We sit down to chat about his background, how Kali Protectives came about, and how their approach differs to many other helmet manufacturers, in order to satisfy Brad’s ongoing mission to make the safest helmets possible. We also chat about Nicholi Rogatkin’s insane Rampage crash, how they analysed that impact, and how the helmet performed. In this episode you’ll learn a bit about the different jobs that helmets need to do, and why the absorption of oblique and lower g-force impacts is just as important as meeting the current standards. Well worth a listen for anyone who wants to know more about how to protect their head well!
